'Northern Fallstaff' aka Fry.
It was the middle of 2008 & the time that I had to start looking for a trainer to send my young horses to for starting. From the start I was adamant that I wanted them trained at AEBC (Australian Equine Behavioural Centre) because of their system based on science & their excellent facilities. I looked into booking my colt into this facility & was overwhelmed by the weekly rate so I thought there must be someone out there that is just as good with a more reasonable & affordable rate for the average Jo.
I began searching on the internet & found Jason's website! Well, needless to say I was wondering why in the world I hadn't heard about him until now, & only by accident. I thought the website was well set up with all the information I needed, all I really needed to do after that was book my horses in.
I called Jason & he was wonderful & so very easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable & knew from then that this was the trainer I was going to use. I booked my 2yo WB colt for August & the 2 2yo WB fillies for a later date.
I dropped the WB colt of there one August afternoon, telling Jason I didn't think he really liked me (the horse that is), I just hadn't been able to connect with him like I had with the fillies. We kept in touch through phone & email about Fry's progress as I lived at least 4 hours away! Some may say I was silly driving all that way, but you don't send your 'children' to just any school, I had to find the one that was right for my horses & one that would shape them for their future dressage careers & make them safe on the ground.
5 weeks later I picked Fry up prematurely, that morning we had a very in depth lesson, Jason showed me everything I needed to know to go away & do it by myself. I couldn't believe the turn around, the tools he gave me has enabled me to connect with Fry & I think I can safely say he likes me now, because I have connected with him in his language. Every ride & join-up session with him we improve on the last.
Jason is an excellent horseman, & a diverse one at that, I'm very glad to have stumbled on your website, a trainer with horsemanship skills & dressage knowledge/experience is exactly what I was after. I absolutely recommend Jason to anyone, no matter what discipline you have in mind for your horse.
