Horse training that works for both horse and rider

Dear Horse Loving Friends,

I have a system of holistic horse training that works, for both you and your horse, you see, I have developed a style of equine training, which takes a natural approach to instilling a solid foundation that  delivers  strong communication between you and your horse.

Ethical horse training is the best way I have found to build trust, rapport and compliance with horses, the horses I start and train are soft, subtle and super responsive, which means you can be sure that your horse will respect your aids and yield to pressure with a forward willing attitude.

I have been very fortunate to have studied  with some of the world’s most honoured horse trainers and have dedicated a good part of my life learning equine behaviour, horse psychology and how to work in harmony with horses.

Riding and training horses is a full time job to me and I have trained and ridden horses of all shapes, sizes, colours, temperaments and troubles, in fact there is nothing much I have not seen when it comes to horses and horse owners. I have solved many problems such as rearing, bucking, float loading, anxious and flighty horses to name a few.

I also start beautifully bred warmbloods and competition horses that are now competing and winning at high level dressage. I have taken broken down racehorses and restored  their faith in humans which has given them a new lease on life.

I also have a dedicated team that I work with to run our Holistic Equitation equestrian clinics where we teach you the essential connections between ground work and ridden, bridging the gap that escapes most people’s experience when it comes to owning and riding horses, yet in my experience working with some of the best trainers are paramount if you wish to have real success, safety and confidence.

And then there’s my wife Jo who runs her own online internet marketing business and has had a life long interest in psychology and self development and has been riding all her life and breeding horses since 1999. Jo  also has amazing intuition and connections with animals and has spent years developing our very own horse and owner personality decoders which help you, me and the horses understand each other at a complete new level and opens up a new language tool for you to really understand what’s going on with your horse and perhaps yourself as well.

All horses that visit us here are treated as individuals and are cared for with the best nutrition, safe fences and a caring attitude but most importantly and not like other stables, horses are only every ridden and trained by me, which means I can only take on a limited number at any one time so be sure to ring as soon as you can to ensure a spot for your horse.

And perhaps most importantly, I believe in keeping the owner involved in the training and education process so I have included at no extra cost one on one training sessions with me

The Advanced Trainers Program consists of 6 full weeks in duration over a 12 or a 24  month period.

We start with a skills assessment and from there your journey will be to start and educate horses, all the way through to a higher level of performance.  You will learn halter training, equine psychology, round penning, starting, right through to refined riding.

You can bring your own horse through the journey or you can use one of our many youngsters on our stud. International Students can make arrangements for more intensive blocks of education and use our young horses to learn. We can provide accommodation as well.  Read More…
